Govt clears appointments of K Suresh Shetty for HPCL's Director (HR) post

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG) for the appointment of Kasargod Suresh Shetty for the post of Director (HR) of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) on Friday.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on April 28, Shetty has been appointed to the post for a period of five years with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post, or till the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (HRD) and holding additional charge of Employee Relations in the same organisation.

Earlier, PSU Watch had reported, when Shetty was recommended for the HPCL’s Director (HR) post by the PESB panel on January 11. He was recommended for the post from a list of nine candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel.

Shetty is a Master of Human Resource Management from Andhra University. He has been associated with HPCL's Human Resources Division since February 2015.
