New Delhi: The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has extended the tenure of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited's (IREDA) Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Pradip Kumar Das beyond his current five-year term, which was scheduled to end on May 5, 2025.
In a regulatory filing to the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE Limited on May 1, IREDA informed that the extension is effective from May 6, 2025, and will remain in force until further orders from the Government.
Das has been at the helm of IREDA since 2020, overseeing significant growth in the company’s operations and its role in supporting India’s renewable energy ambitions. His leadership has been instrumental in strengthening the agency’s financial performance and expanding its reach across the renewable energy sector.
IREDA, a Navratna PSU under MNRE, plays a critical role in financing and promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency projects across the country.
