Jayant Kumar Jha set to be next Director (Commercial) of MECON

New Delhi: Jayant Kumar Jha is set to be next Director (Commercial) of MECON Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Steel. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Saturday. Presently, he is serving as Chief General Manager (Civil, Architecture, PPM and Projects) in the same organisation.

Jha has been recommended for the post of Director (Commercial) of MECON Limited from a list of 11 candidates whom the PESB Selection Panel interviewed in its selection meeting held on October 26. Out of 11 candidates, five were from MECON, two were from BHEL, and one each from RVNL, Hindustan Copper, and BSNL.

As Director (Commercial) of MECON, Jha will be a member of the board of director and will report to the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). He will be in charge of marketing strategies including product-mix, sales/product promotion, distribution network, logistics, warehousing, pricing, sales, after-sales service, key customer relationship etc. for meeting the competitive goals and financial results of the company.
