KIOCL appoints three Independent Directors to its Board

New Delhi: State-owned KIOCL Limited announced the appointment of Rakesh Modi, Subhash Chandra Saraf and Avtar Singh as Non-Official Independent Directors on its Board for a period of three years.

The appointments have been made by the Ministry of Steel and are effective from the date of notification or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The company informed stock exchanges that the appointments were made pursuant to the Ministry of Steel's order dated July 14, 2026.

Rakesh Modi brings extensive experience in public administration, civic governance, institutional management and social service. He has served in leadership positions in several social and charitable organisations, including as Vice President of the Indian Red Cross Society, National Vice President of Akhil Indian Maheshwari Yuva Manch and Vice Chairman of a municipal corporation.

Subhash Chandra Saraf has more than four decades of experience in audit, taxation, corporate consultancy, mergers and amalgamations, business process re-engineering, information security, risk management and internal audit. He has previously served as an Independent Director on the boards of NBCC (India) Limited and The State Trading Corporation of India Limited, both listed Navratna CPSEs.

Avtar Singh holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kashmir and has over 18 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector, primarily in marketing and sales across Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. He has also held elected positions in local self-government institutions, including Sarpanch, Block Development Council Chairman and District Development Council Member in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

According to the company, all three appointments have been made for a tenure of three years from the date of notification or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
