

New Delhi: Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) on Tuesday said its board has named Shatmanyu Shrivastava as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Varadarajan Muthuvenkataraman as Chief Risk Officer (CRO), with both appointments effective July 28, 2026, the insurer said in a regulatory filing.

Shrivastava, previously serving as Executive Director (Finance & Accounts), will assume the CFO role immediately. He has earlier held the posts of Executive Director (Enterprise Risk Management) and Chief Risk Officer, giving him experience across both risk and finance functions at the corporation.
Muthuvenkataraman, who joined LIC in 1992 as an Assistant Administrative Officer, is elevated to Executive Director (Enterprise Risk Management) and Chief Risk Officer. Before this promotion he served as Additional Executive Director (Enterprise Risk Management) at LIC’s Central Office in Mumbai and had been carrying out the duties of Executive Director (Enterprise Risk Management) and CRO.
