Mamta Verma appointed as Addl Director on board of Gujarat Gas Limited

New Delhi: State-owned Gujarat Gas Limited said in a regulatory filing that the Board of Directors has appointed Mamta Verma, IAS, (DIN: 01854315) Principal Secretary, Energy and Petrochemicals Department (EPD), Government of Gujarat as Additional Director on the Board of Gujarat Gas Limited with effect from Monday.

Further, the filing noted that "Mamta Verma, IAS, Principal Secretary, Energy and Petrochemicals Department (EPD) is not debarred from holding the office of director by virtue of any SEBI order or any other such authority." "She is a Promoter-Nominee," it added.

Mamta Verma is an IAS officer. She has pursued MA in Psychology and has done Post Graduation in Physiology. She is a Senior IAS Officer having rich experience in the field of Management and Administration. She has held various distinguished positions in the Government of Gujarat such as Collector, District Development Officer, Additional Industries Commissioner, CEO of Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority and Special Commissioner, Commercial Taxes, Director, Municipal Administrator, CEO of Gujarat Urban Development Corporation, Secretary to Government, Industries and Mines Department. Presently, she is Principal Secretary to Government, Energy and Petrochemicals Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar.
