New Delhi: State-owned RailTel said in a regulatory filing on Monday that the Ministry of Railways has confirmed the appointment of Manoj Tandon as Director (PO&M) of the company with immediate effect for a period till the date of his superannuation i.e., November 30, 2027 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
As per the filing, Tandon has not been debarred from holding the office of director by virtue of any SEBI order or any other such authority. He is not related to any Director/KMP of the company.
Manoj Tandon took over the charge of Director- Projects, Operation, and Maintenance with effect from Monday. Prior to this, Tandon was shouldering the responsibilities of the Group General Manager/ Operations and heading the retail broadband business of RailTel. During his stint in various capacities at RailTel. He worked in the areas of evolving and maintaining NOC operations and expanded Internet & Wi-Fi networks to improve network resiliency and user experience. During his tenure, RailWire broadband crossed half a million-customer base and introduced various value-added services (VAS). Before joining RailTel, Tandon worked in various telecom companies and delivered many greenfield telecoms network rollouts and transformational projects for the continuous evolution of end-to-end network automation consisting of Service Assurance and Service fulfillment stacks, to strengthen NOC's capabilities to ensure agile & efficient management of Network, Service and Customer Experience of all telecom verticals. He completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from Maulana Azad College of Technology (REC/NIT), Bhopal in 1990.
