
New Delhi: Megh Nath Goyal is set to be next Director (Technical) of National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), a PSU under the Department of Fertilizers. Goyal has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) Panel on Tuesday. Presently, he is serving as Chief General Manager (Unit Head) Nangal Unit of the same corporation.
Goyal has been recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of NFL from a list of seven candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on May 20. Out of seven candidates, three candidates were from NFL, two candidates from Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCF) and one each from SAIL and NMDC Limited.
As Director (Technical) of NFL, Goyal will be a member of the board of directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will act as head of the projects/ technical/ operations division of the company. His principal responsibility will be to exercise control over the efficient operation of the plants of the company in a manner that would ensure optimum utilization of resources. He will also acts as Principal Adviser of the company in all technical and operational matters.
