Paresh Ranpara assumes charge as NHPC Director (Personnel)

New Delhi: State-owned hydropower giant NHPC on Thursday said Paresh Rasiklal Ranpara has assumed charge as Additional Director and Director (Personnel). The company's board had cleared the appointment for the post on Tuesday.

Ranpara is not related to any of the Directors of the Company and is not debarred from holding the office of Director by virtue of any order passed by the Securities and Exchange Board of India or any other authority, an exchange filing said.

According to the filing, pursuant to the Power Ministry order, on July 27, 2026, the Board of Directors had approved the appointment of Paresh Rasiklal Ranpara as Additional Director and Director (Personnel), and he has assumed charge as Director (Personnel) on July 30, 2026.

Ranpara is a seasoned HR leader with rich and diverse experience across the power sector, having served in both state and central public sector undertakings.

During his tenure with Gujarat power sector utilities, such as MGVCL and GUVNL, he successfully led large-scale recruitment initiatives to meet growing business requirements.

In May 2023, after a long and successful tenure in state PSUs, he joined Grid Controller of India Limited (Grid-India), a Schedule ‘A’ Central Public Sector Enterprise, as Director (HR).
