PESB picks Saloma Yomdo for Oil India's Director (Exploration & Development) post

New Delhi: Saloma Yomdo is set to be next Director (Exploration & Development) of Oil India Limited, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Monday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (Exploration & Development) in the same organisation.

Yomdo has been recommended for the post of Director (Exploration & Development) of Oil India Ltd from a list of 12 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB Selection Panel in its selection meeting held on May 20. Out of 12 candidates, six candidates were from Oil India, two from GAIL India Limited, two from ONGC Videsh Limited and one each from HPCL and ONGC.

As Director (Exploration & Development) of Oil India, Yomdo will be a member of board of directors and will report to Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). Under this role, he will formulate exploratory policies and budgets and will monitor the progress of exploration and development programs of the company.
