Power Min appoints Shashikant Jagannath Wani as independent director of SJVN Ltd

New Delhi: State-owned SJVN Limited said in a regulatory filing that the "Ministry of Power has appointed Shashikant Jagannath Wani as the Non-Official Part-Time Director (Independent Director) on the board of directors of the company with effect from March 13 for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier."

"Further, the Director being appointed is not debarred from holding the office of director by virtue of any SEBI order or any other such authority," it added.

Brief profile

Wani holds Diploma in Homeopathy & Biochemistry from State Council of Homeopathy, Madhya Pradesh. He is Education institute director with over 20 years of experience at Sainath Education Society and Sadguru Vidya Vikas Sanstha.

In his current role as a Chairman and Director at Sainath Education Society, he is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the institute, developing and implementing strategic plans, managing budgets, and ensuring academic excellence. He also works closely with faculty and staff to create a positive learning environment for students. He is also Director at Dilawar Singh Dada Patpedhi, Taloda, Dist. Nandurbar. He has been awarded twice with “Khandesh Shikshan Ratna Puraskar'' by the Lokmat group.
