New Delhi: NTPC Limited has announced the appointment of Pravin Anantarao Pande as the Executive Director of its Tapovan Vishnugad Hydro Power Project. Previously, he was heading the same project. His elevation to this position underscores his exceptional contributions and extensive experience in the power sector.
Pande embarked on his professional journey with NTPC Limited in September 1986 as part of the EET-XI Batch, marking the beginning of a distinguished career in the power industry. Over the years, he has played a crucial role in several key projects, demonstrating proficiency and versatility across multiple domains. His expertise spans gas plants, thermal power stations, coal mining projects, and hydro power execution, making him an invaluable asset to the company.
Under his leadership, the Tapovan Vishnugad Hydro Power Project has made significant progress in achieving its energy-generation objectives. Located in Uttarakhand, the project is a critical component of India’s strategy to expand its renewable energy capacity, particularly through hydroelectric power.
