Purshotam Das Bohra as assumes charge as Unit Head of HCL's Khetri Copper Complex

New Delhi: Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) has designated Purshotam Das Bohra, General Manager (Mining), as the Unit Head of Khetri Copper Complex (KCC), with effect from May 13.

The company informed stock exchanges that the proposal was approved by HCL’s board of directors through a resolution passed by circulation on May 13, 2026. The position of Unit Head falls under the category of Senior Management in the company.

Bohra holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mining from MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, completed in 1993. He also possesses the Manager’s First-Class Certificate of Competency for Opencast and Underground Metalliferous Mines from the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS).

He brings over 31 years of experience in the mining sector. During his career, he worked in limestone mining for the cement industry with Grasim Industries (now UltraTech Cement) in Rajasthan and in iron ore mining with Essel Mining & Industries Ltd. in Odisha.

Shri Bohra joined the Malanjkhand Copper Project of HCL in October 2011 as Chief Manager (Mines) and later rose to the position of Deputy General Manager (Mines). In May 2023, he moved to Khetri Copper Complex as Deputy General Manager (Mines) and has been serving as GM (Mines) and Agent Mines at KCC.

According to the company, Bohra has been elevated as Unit Head, KCC, in recognition of his extensive industry experience, leadership qualities and contribution to the organisation.
