A formal notification to this effect was issued on Monday by the Department of Financial Services under the Ministry of Finance. Doraiswamy’s tenure as LIC MD & CEO will be for a period of three years, set to end on August 28, 2028, the date on which he will attain the age of 62 years.

His appointment follows a recommendation made by the Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) on June 11, 2025.

LIC, under the administrative control of the Ministry of Finance, is managed by a team comprising a Chairman or MD & CEO and four Managing Directors.
