RITES appoints Vinod Kumar Sharma (ITS) as its CVO

New Delhi: RITES Limited has appointed Vinod Kumar Sharma (ITS), as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of the company, with effect from February 9, according to a regulatory filing made with the stock exchanges. Prior to joining RITES, Sharma was serving as Business Area Head in the Muzaffarpur Business Area under the Bihar Telecom Circle of BSNL.

The appointment has been made in terms of an order issued by the Ministry of Railways. Sharma will hold the position for an initial period of three years from the date of assuming charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Following his appointment, he has been included in the Senior Management Personnel of the company with immediate effect.

Sharma is an Indian Telecom Service officer of the 1999 batch and a graduate in Electronic Engineering from Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur. He brings over 25 years of experience in the telecom sector, having worked across organisations such as BSNL, BBNL and the Department of Telecommunications. His experience includes handling installation, expansion, operations and maintenance of telecom services, as well as monitoring major government projects including the National Optical Fibre Network (NoFN).
