
New Delhi: Sachidananda Maharana is set to be next Director (Finance) of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), a division of Oil India Limited (OIL) under the ownership of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) Panel on Saturday. Presently, he is serving as Chief General Manager (F&A) at OIL.
Maharana has been recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of NRL from a list of 10 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB Selection Panel in its 10th Selection Meeting of 2025, held on February 1. Out of 10 candidates, four candidates were from NRL, three candidates were from OIL, two candidates were from MRPL and one candidate was from NTPC Limited.
As Director (Finance) of NRL, Maharana will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Managing Director. He will be overall in charge of the finance and accounts of the organisation and also be responsible for evolving and formulating policies related to finance and accounts as well as implementation.
