Sujata Sharma (IAS) appointed as Govt Nominee Director on Indian Oil board

New Delhi: Petroleum Ministry has approved the appointment of Sujata Sharma (IAS) as Government Nominee Director on the Board of Indian Oil. She has been appointed to the post with effect from May 11. This information has been shared by Indian Oil in a regulatory filing to the stock exchange on Saturday.

Sharma is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre and presently posted as Joint Secretary (M&OR) in Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoP&NG).

Sharma is Law Graduate and Ph. D in Botany. She has held various positions such as Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Hyderabad; District Collector Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh; Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Andhra Pradesh; Special Commissioner of Collegiate Education & Technical Education, Andhra Pradesh; Special Commissioner Health & Family Welfare, Andhra Pradesh, Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh and Managing Director - Pradeshiya Industrial and Investment Corporation of UP Limited (PICUP).
