New Delhi: Sumeet Kumar Sinha (IRSS) has been given additional charge as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL). According an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), the Central Government has approved the proposal for the entrustment of additional charge of the post of CVO of NCL to Sinha for a period of six months from the date of assumption of charge or till the appointment of a regular CVO or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Sinha is a 199-batch Indian Railway Stores Service (IRSS) officer. Presently, he is serving as serving as CVO of Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL). He has been serving as CVO of CMPFO, Dhanbad since November 19, 2022.
Sinha has vast experience in materials management including procurement and scrap disposal in Indian Railways. He did his B. Tech in Civil Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur in 1994 and rendered his services to Centre for Engineering and Technology (CET), Ranchi under Steel Authority of India Limited. During his tenure at Indian Railways, he contributed towards digitization of different activities related to procurement and disposal of materials. He is very academically inclined, sports enthusiast and warmed hearted person.
