WAPCOS Recruitment 2024: WAPCOS Limited has released a job notification for the engagement of Director (Commercial). Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the job before May 5. The Director (Commercial & HRD) post in WAPCOS set to fall vacant on September 1. Currently, Anupam Mishra is serving as Director (Commercial & HRD) in WAPCOS Limited.
Director (Commercial & HRD) is a member of Board of Directors and reports to Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He/She is responsible for the entire commercial operations of the company. He/She will have to carry out contract negotiations, make technical presentations and develop client relationship. He/She is also overall in-charge of coordinating and implementing personnel and industrial relations policies, management functions, administrative control etc. in the organisation.
Pay scale: Rs 1,60,000 – 2,90,000 (IDA)
Age Limit: Minimum age limit 40 years and age of superannuation 60 years
The minimum length of service required in the eligible scale will be one year for internal candidates, and two years for others as on the date of the vacancy.
Employment Status
The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:-
(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);
(b) Central Government Group 'A' officers including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services and officers from Public Sector Banks/ Financial Institutions/ Autonomous Bodies etc;
(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 1,000 crore or more;
(d) Private Sector in company where the annual turnover is *Rs 1,000 crore or more.
Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.
(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits.)
Educational Qualifications
The applicant should be an Engineering Graduate or Graduate with MBA or PGDM in Marketing with good academic records from recognised university or institution.
Work Experience
The applicant should possess cumulative experience or exposure of at least five years during the last 10 years in marketing or business development or sales forecasting planning. Experience in HR or Personnel Management or Water Resources or Infrastructure sector would be an added advantage.
Duration of the appointment
The appointment shall be for a period of five years from the date of joining or upto the date of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
