Q3 FY21: NHPC reports 100% growth in standalone net profit

• NHPC has reported a robust Q3 FY21 with 100 percent increase in net profit

• NHPC made Rs 808 crore against a net profit of Rs 404 crore during the corresponding previous quarter ended December 31, 2019

• The board declared an interim dividend of Rs 1.25 per share for FY'21

New Delhi: NHPC Limited has declared its financial results for the third quarter of the current financial year (Q3 FY21). For the quarter ended on December 31, the standalone net profit of NHPC increased by 100 percent to Rs 808 crore against a net profit of Rs 404 crore during the corresponding previous quarter ended December 31, 2019. Net profit for the nine months ended December 31, 2020, increased by 8 percent to Rs 2,829 crore against a net profit of Rs 2,624 Crore during the nine months ended December 31, 2019.

Standalone revenue of NHPC grew by 23 percent to Rs 2,294 crore for the quarter ended on December 31, 2020, as against Rs 1,860 crore during the corresponding previous quarter ended December 31, 2019. Revenue for the nine months ended December 13, 2020, increased by 5 percent to Rs 7,879 crore as against Rs 7,473 crore during the nine months ended December 31, 2019.

Sales realization from beneficiaries for the current fiscal is Rs 7,633 crore till February 10, 2021, as compared to Rs 7,018 crore during the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

The board of directors has also declared an interim dividend of Rs 1.25 per share for the financial year 2020-21 in the board meeting held on February 11, 2021, as against an interim dividend of Rs 1.18 per share for the year 2019-20.
