New Delhi: Railtel Corporation of India Limited (RailTel), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, on Wednesday said that it has received work order worth Rs 22.39 crore from the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS). CRIS is a government organisation under the ownership of Indian Railways, Ministry of Railways. It is responsible for the designing, development, implementation and maintaining most of the important information systems of Railways.

According to RailTel, this order is for the setting up of 3 way DR of FOIS of a total value of Rs 22.39 crore (Inclusive of GST). This information has been shared by the Railways PSU in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Wednesday.

A week earlier, on November 3, RailTel had informed BSE that it received the work order worth Rs 86.90 crore from Konkan Railway Corporation. That order was for the design, supply, installation, wiring, testing & commissioning of the integrated communication system and is to be completed within a period of 18 months.

RailTel is a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways. It is an ICT provider and one of the largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers in the country owning a Pan-India optic fibre network on exclusive Right of Way (RoW) along Railway track. The OFC network covers all important towns & cities of the country and several rural areas.
