REC supports setting up of 2 MW Solar Power plant at IIM-Tiruchirappalli

New Delhi: REC Foundation, the CSR arm of REC Limited has funded the setting up of a 2 MW solar power plant at IIM Tiruchirappalli. The inauguration of the power plant was held online through a digital platform. REC Limited's Chairman & Managing Ditrector (CMD) SK Gupta, who was present as the Chief Guest, inaugurated the power plant in the presence of the guest of honour, REC Limited's Director (Finance) Ajoy Choudhury along with REC Foundation's CEO SN Srinivas and IIM Tiruchirappalli's Director Dr Bhimaraya Metri.

The main objective of this project is to be able to power the IIM-Tiruchirappalli campus through clean and sustainable means. The event is yet another testament of REC's focus and commitment to promoting environment sustainability through renewable energy projects and contributing to a greener and cleaner India.
