REIL organieses ‘Fit India Freedom Run 2.0’ under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ campaign

Jaipur: Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (REIL) has launched 'Fit India Freedom Run 2.0' under the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" campaign in the India@75 series. The programme is being organised, as per the guidelines received from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Department of Sports. According to the company, the campaign begins on August 13 and will run till October 2. The "Fit India Freedom Run 2.0" campaign aims to devote a minimum of 30 minutes for self-fitness every day under "Fitness Ki Dose, half-hour daily." Under this campaign, the theme of the program "Jan Bhagidari to Jan Andolan Tak" has been set to encourage public participation. For this, all the employees will participate in the program through a virtual medium as far as possible following the guidelines of COVID-19.

On this occasion, REIL's Managing Director Rakesh Chopra informed that in view of the current situation due to Corona, all the participants are being motivated to run anywhere and at any time according to their convenience. The employees can divide their race into several days according to their convenience and also with the help of GPS will measure the distance covered by running, the whose consolidated report will be sent to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Department of Sports.

The Managing Director said that the Fit India Movement was started by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi with a view to make fitness an integral part of our daily life. The mission of the movement, to bring about behavioural change and move towards a more physically active lifestyle, to promote Fit India fitness in a simple way, to promote fitness through focused campaigns to spread awareness about various physical activities, to promote indigenous sports, to create a platform for citizens of India to share information, raise awareness and encourage sharing of personal fitness stories. Keeping in view the widespread publicity of this program, banner posters have been displayed in the company premises and also circulated on social media to motivate the maximum number of employees.
