Renu Narang appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of NTPC Ltd

Renu Narang, who is currently serving as Executive Director (Finance), has been designated as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of NTPC Limited with immediate effect

New Delhi: Renu Narang has been designated as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of NTPC Limited with immediate effect. She has been appointed to the post upon cessation of Anil Kumar Gautam as Chief Financial Officer of the company with effect from May 31, 2022. Presently, she is serving as Executive Director (Finance) in the same Mahartana power PSU. Information about her appointment has been shared by NTPC Limited in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Wednesday.

Narang is a Management Graduate from Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow; is an alumnus of SRCC, Delhi University. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from Delhi University.

She has over 34 years of experience in all aspects of Finance and Accounts. Resource mobilization from domestic and foreign lenders for both long-term and short-term needs has been her forte. Her experience spans over areas in International Finance, Budgeting, Financial Concurrence, Investor Services, Treasury and Commercial and Regulatory issues etc.

She has been involved in due diligence and evaluations for acquisitions of power assets as well as finalizing strategies for bidding for distribution circles as well as for overseas projects. She has also negotiated and finalized various innovative agreements for raising funds as well refinancing of loans. She is well conversant with the financial markets, both domestic and international and is cognizant of nuances in the valuation of projects and loan negotiations.
