New Delhi: Venkata Nagi Reddy Kovvuri (IDES) has been given additional charge as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of KIOCL Limited. Currently, he is serving as CVO of RINL-VSP. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), the government has approved the proposal for entrustment of the additional charge of the post of CVO, KIOCL to Reddy as CVO of RINL-VSP for a period one year or till the appointment of a regular CVO or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Profile of Venkata Nagi Reddy Kovvuri (IDES)

Reddy is an Indian Defence Estates Service (IDES) officer 1998-batch. Prior to joining as CVO of RINL-VSP, he was serving as Director in the Ministry of Commerce. He is an engineering graduate (BE) from Hindustan College of Engineering of Madras University Chennai. He also completed a PG diploma from Visakhapatnam Maritime Educational Society Visakhapatnam.

KIOCL Limited

KIOCL Limited, formerly 'Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited' is a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Steel. KIOCL has its head office and administrative activities in Bangalore. It has a pelletisation plant in Mangalore and had an iron ore mine in Kudremukh (Chikkamagaluru district). The Kudremukh mine, one of the largest iron ore mines in the world, was closed in 2006.
