RSP organises vigilance awareness programme

Rourkela: An awareness programme was organised by the Vigilance Department of SAIL's Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) for the students of NIT, Rourkela. The programme was organised to mark the forthcoming vigilance awareness week-2019.

NIT Rourkela's Director Dr Animesh Biswas was the chief guest of the programme. On the occasion, RSP's General Manager & ACVO (Vigilance) AC Rathi, General Manager (Vigilance) VK Yadav, AGM (Vigilance) JP Shukla, NIT Dean (Student Welfare) Dr Saroj Kumar Patel, NIT Rourkela's President (Student Activity Centre) Dr Seemita Mohanty, NIT's Voice President (Student Activity Centre) Dr Sambit Bakshi and officials of Vigilance Department were present.

The programme was organised by the Vigilance Department of RSP in association with the Inquizzitive club under Literature Society, Student Activity Centre of NIT, Rourkela.

The programme commenced with the administration of the integrity pledge by Manager (Vigilance) Anand Kumar.

Vigilance awareness programme followed up with quiz

The programme was followed by a quiz competition. A total of 20 teams comprising 2 students each participated in the written preliminary round. 8 teams qualified for the final round. The final round was oral in nature and included audiovisual sections and the buzzer round. The team comprising Dibyan Debasis Sahu and Diptanshu Ranjan Swain bagged the 1st prize. The team of Suvendu Swain and D Dhilleswara Rao bagged the 2nd prize, while Akash Kumar Singh and Vivek Prasad Dalbehera received the 3rd prize in the competition.

The programme concluded with the prize distribution ceremony.
