Sajeev B set to be next CMD of Hindustan Organic Chemicals Ltd

  • PESB panel has recommended Sajeev B for the post of CMD of Hindustan Organic Chemicals Ltd (HOCL)
  • Sajeev B is currently serving as Chief General Manager (Marketing) in HOCL only

New Delhi: Sajeev B is set to be the new Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Hindustan Organic Chemicals Limited (HOCL). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection (PESB) panel on Friday. He is currently serving as Chief General Manager (Marketing) in the same organisation.

Sajeev has been recommended for the post of CMD of HOCL from the list of eight candidates who were interviewed by the selection panel. Out of eight candidates, five candidates were from HOCL and one candidate each from HLL Lifecare Limited, PEC Limited and Indian Railways Personnel Service.

AS CMD of HOCL Limited, Mithal will be the Chief Executive of the corporation and will be accountable to its Board of Directors and the Government. He also will be responsible for the efficient functioning of the Corporation for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters.

Hindustan Organic Chemicals Limited (HOCL) is a PSU based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It was established in 1960 to indigenise the manufacture of basic chemicals and to reduce the country’s dependence on the import of vital organic chemicals. HOCL has a manufacturing unit at Kochi in Kerala. It provides basic organic chemicals essential for vital industries like drugs and pharmaceuticals, resins and laminates, dyes and dyes intermediates, rubber chemicals, paints, pesticides and the textile industry, virtually touching every facet of life. It has also been manufacturing sanitisers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
