Sanjay Khanna assumes charge as Director (Refineries) of BPCL

New Delhi: Sanjay Khanna has assumed charge as Director (Refineries) of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoNPG), on February 22. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) had cleared his appointment of the post on February 21. Prior to assuming charge of the post, Khanna was serving as Executive Director in the same Maharatna oil PSU.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Khanna has been appointed as Director (Refineries) of BPCL for a period of five years with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post, or till the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is the earlier.

Khanna is a chemical engineering graduate from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli and a post-graduate in finance management from Mumbai University. He started his carrier as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in 1991 from Mumbai Refinery of BPCL. He has more than 30 years of experience in Refinery Operations.

In his illustrious career, he has earlier held the positions of Chief General Manager Incharge (Mumbai Refineries), Executive Director (Kochi Refineries) and Executive Director Incharge of Refineries, where he headed the refineries operations in BPCL.
