SB Mohanty set to be next Director (Finance) of IREL (India) Ltd

New Delhi: Sarada Bhushan Mohanty is set to be the next Director (Finance) of IREL (India) Limited, a Miniratna PSU under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Wednesday. He is currently serving as General Manager in the National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO).

Mohanty has been recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of IREL (India) Limited from a list of six candidates who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on Wednesday. The candidates, who were on the list were one each from IREL (India) Limited, NMDC Limited, NALCO, Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), ONGC Petro additions Limited and Ratnagiri Gas and Power Private Limited.

As Director (Finance) of IREL, Mohanty will be a member of the board of directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be the head of corporate finance and accounts of the organisation. He also will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting and costing, preparation of financial statements in compliance with various commercial norms and statutory requirements, taxation, related MIS etc.
