Through 'Mega Customer Meet,' which is scheduled for May 24, the bank is expecting to engage with 1 lakh bank customers across 500 locations via 17 local head offices

New Delhi: India's largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) is organising a customer outreach programme in Delhi, NCR and Uttarakhand next week to address queries and also seek suggestions from them on how to improve services. Through 'Mega Customer Meet,' which is scheduled for May 24, the bank is expecting to engage with 1 lakh bank customers across 500 locations via 17 local head offices.

SBI customers in the three states can attend the programme in 41 locations, the PSU bank said.

Customers will get to interact with bank staff

The initiative will provide customers with an opportunity to interact with bank staff, discuss their issues with them, get their queries answered and also share feedback and suggestions on the bank's products and services, SBI said in a press release.

Programme organised once every year

SBI Managing Director for Retail and Digital Banking PK Gupta said that the initiative is part of the bank's regular interaction with the customers.

"We try to do it generally about once in a year on a larger scale and organise it at all our major centres across the country. We have asked our customers to share their views, expectations and feedback how we can improve our services," Gupta said.

He added that at times, the concerns of customers do not get fully resolved at branches and programmes like these give them an opportunity to be heard.

SBI planning to inform people about YONO

The state-owned lender is also planning to use the platform to educate people about the features and convenience of using its one-stop platform for digital banking and lifestyle shopping app, YONO.

The app, launched in November 2017, has already been downloaded more than 2 crore times so far.
