SCOPE has announced its Corporate Communications award winners. Here’s the list

New Delhi: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) swept awards across six categories, followed by National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and Water and Power Consultancy Services Limited (WAPCOS) who bagged three awards each, in the Corporate Communications Excellence Awards 2019, the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) said. The award ceremony is the third in the series instituted by the apex body in 2016 to recognise the work of the Corporate Communication teams of PSUs.

HPCL's illustrious list

HPCL's Corporate Communications head Rajeev Goel won the Public Relation and Corporate Communication Person of the Year award and the oil PSU also claimed the first spot in the best annual report category. While HPCL stood second in the Best House Hindi Journal category, in the Best House English Journal category, the PSU claimed the third spot. In the Innovative Stakeholder Interface category, HPCL claimed the first spot jointly with NTPC.

NTPC, WAPCOS at the second spot

NTPC claimed the first spot in Brand building through Inclusive Growth Initiatives category and also the Innovative Stakeholder Interface category. The PSU stood third in the Special Brand Building Publication category. WAPCOS, on the other hand, occupied the first spot in the Best Corporate Communication Campaign & Program- External Communication category and the Crisis Handling category. It also came in third in the Best House Hindi Journal category.

Other winners

Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) claimed the first spot in the Best Corporate Film category, followed by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) came in first in the Special Brand Building Publication category, while GAIL was at the first position in the Effective Use of Digital Media category. SAIL won the second prize in the Crisis Handling category and ended up in the third spot in the Best Corporate Communication Campaign & Program-Internal Communication. While ONGC stood second in the Best Annual Report category, PowerGrid Corporation of India Limited and PFC claimed the third spot.
