SJVN organises 2nd edition of 'Pratibimb 2019'

Shimla: SJVN Limited, a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Power, organised the second edition of the annual cultural and literary festival, 'Pratibimb 2019.' The festival was inaugurated by SJVN Limited's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Nand Lal Sharma at its corporate headquarters at Shimla on Friday. On the occasion, SJVN's Directors, Director (Electrical) RK Bansal, Director (Personnel) Geeta Kapur and Director (Civil) SP Bansal were also present. During his inaugural address, Sharma said that the employees of the company are continuously working towards achieving the shared vision of 5,000 MW by 2023, 12,000 MW by 2030 and 25,000 MW by 2040. The recent signing of eight hydropower projects by SJVN Limited with the government of Himachal Pradesh during the 'Rising Himachal Global Investor Meet' is an important step forward in this direction. However, it is also essential that in our journey towards achieving goals, we constantly strive to live by the values of teamwork, excellence, innovation and mutual trust, he added. Sharma also exhorted all the employees to excel in all fields and stated that the hosting of such event is very important not only for the overall development of the individual but also for the growth and progress of the organisation.

'Pratibimb'

'Pratibimb' is an innovative endeavour envisaged by Nand Lal Sharma in 2018 to encourage corporate bonding and organisational cohesiveness amongst the employees of the organisation and also to sensitise them about the rich cultural and folk heritage of India. 'Pratibimb-2019,' the three-day-long annual fest provides a platform to the employees to express their talent through various competitions such as Samuh-gaan, Vaad-vivad, standup comedy, Sur-sagar, Thirak, Antakshari, Kavyanjali, Nirmaan and Nukkar-natak. "This is for the first time that such a mega event is being hosted by SJVN Limited's corporate headquarters Shimla, in which 10 teams of various projects and offices of SJVN Limited are participating in a total of nine different cultural events," SJVN said.
