SK Mishra set to be Director (Consumer Mobility) of BSNL

New Delhi: Sushil Kumar Mishra is set to be new Director (Consumer Mobility) of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), a PSU under the administrative control of Department of Telecommunications. Mishra's name has been recommended by a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Thursday. He is currently serving as Principal General Manager (Karnataka Circle) in the same organisation.

Mishra has been recommended for the post of Director (Consumer Mobility) of BSNL Limited from a list of six candidates who were interviewed by the selection panel. A total of four candidates, including Mishra, were from BSNL Limited and two other candidates were from Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL).

Mishra is an Indian Telecom Services (ITS) officer of 1984 batch. He had assumed charge as Principal General Manager (Karnataka Circle) on December 31, 2018. The recommendation comes at a time when the government is planning to revive this loss-making PSU.
