Technology makes the system transparent: HAL CMD

Bengaluru: A week-long awareness programme is being observed in Navratna Defence PSU, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). Vigilance programme 2019 was inaugurated by HAL's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) R Madhavan at its corporate office, Bengaluru, on Tuesday. The theme for the Vigilance Awareness Week for this year is "Integrity- A way of life."

While speaking on the occasion, Madhavan said that technology makes the system transparent and curbs corruption. "As an ongoing process more system improvement needs to be done in various functions of the company", he added.

While addressing the gathering, HAL's Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) B Selva Kumar said that integrity and ethics are the foundation of any organisation and employees should inculcate these values.

On the occasion, bi-annual magazine 'Margadarshan,' which is brought out by HAL's Vigilance Department, was released. HAL's Director (HR) VM Chamola, Director (Finance) CB Ananthakrishnan, Director (Operations) MS Velpari, senior executives of the company and others were also present on the occasion.

In the week-long awareness programme, various activities such as vigithon, elocution, essay competition, sensitisation programmes etc. will be organised to create awareness and mark the week.
