THDC wins Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar

New Delhi: THDC India Limited (THDC) has been conferred with 'Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar' (second prize) on the occasion of 'National Hindi Day'. THDC received Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar for its outstanding contribution in the field of promotion of Hindi as the official language in the FY 2018-19. Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar was presented to THDC's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) DV Singh by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in a glittering award ceremony during National Hindi Day 2019 celebrations, held at Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi.

On the occasion Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai & Secretary (Rajbhasha) G Kishan Reddy, Anuradha Mishra and Joint secretary (Rajbhasha) Jai Prakash Agrawal were also present. On behalf of the company, THDC's Director (Personnel) Vijay Goel, General Manager (SP) RN Singh, Senior Manager (Hindi) AK Srivastava and other officials were also present. THDCIL has been conferred with Rajbhasha Keerti Puraskar in the segment of PSUs working under region 'A' for Rajbhasha Implementation.

THDC India Limited is a Miniratna PSU company jointly owned by Central government and government of Uttar Pradesh. It was incorporated to develop, operate and maintain the Tehri Hydro Power Complex and other Hydro Projects. The initial mandate of THDCIL was to develop, operate and maintain the 2,400 MW Tehri Hydro Power Complex and other Hydro Projects.
