New Delhi: The Central Government on Monday has assigned additional responsibilities to IAS officers Apurva Chandra and Katikithala Srinivas along with their present role. Here is what responsibilities have been assigned to them-

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Monday has approved the assignment of the additional charge of the post of Secretary of Ministry of Labour & Employment to Apurva Chandra (IAS), who assumed charge as Secretary in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting on the same day. Chandra is a 1988-batch Indian Administrative Service Officer (IAS) of the Maharashtra cadre. Prior to joining Information & Broadcasting Ministry, Chandra was serving as Secretary in the Ministry of Labour & Employment.

According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been assigned with this additional responsibility with immediate effect and till the appointment of regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Further, in a separate order issued on the same day, the ACC has assigned additional responsibility as Director of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) to Katikithala Srinivas in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary to the government. Srinivas is a 1989-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Gujarat cadre. He is currently serving as Establishment Officer & Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training.
