New Delhi: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) extends the last date for receiving comments on the issues raised in the consultation paper titled, 'Licensing Framework and Regulatory Mechanism for Submarine Cable Landing in India', said the Ministry of Communications in a statement.
"Keeping in view of the requests received from stakeholders and associations for further extension of time for submission of comments and counter-comments, it has been decided to extend the last date for submission of written comments and counter-comments up to February 10 and February 24 respectively," it added.
"TRAI had released the consultation paper on December 23," said the ministry in a statement. "Earlier the date for receiving comments from the stakeholders was fixed as January 20 and for counter-comments as February 3," said the Ministry of Communications in the statement.
The statement also stated that comments or counter-comments may be sent, preferably in electronic form at advbbpa@trai.gov.in with a copy to jtadvbbpa-1@trai.gov.in.
