New Delhi: UCO Bank, state-run public sector bank, has appointed Shashi Kant Kumar as new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on Friday. Shashi Kant, who was currently serving as Deputy General Manager in the same bank, has been appointed as CFO, the bank said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges.
With his new appointment, Shashi Kant has replaced General Manager Ram Kumar, who was holding the same position of UCO bank.

Kant is a Chartered Accountant of Insitute of Chartered Accountant of India. He passed out in the year 2001. He had served Kotak Mahindra Bank as Chief General Manager from January 2006 to February 2010. He also has held several positions in UCO bank after joining the bank in March 2010.
UCO Bank is a public sector bank, formerly known as United Commercial Bank, established in 1943 in Kolkata. Based on 2014 data, it is ranked 1860 on the Forbes Global 2000 List. UCO Bank was ranked 294th among India’s most trusted brands according to the Brand Trust Report 2014, a study conducted by Trust Research Advisory.
