New Delhi: The celebrations of the 'Vigilance Awareness Week – 2022' at Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) concluded on a high note on Monday.

Commissioner of Police Rachakonda Commissionerate, Telangana Mahesh Bhagwat (IPS) delivered a key-note address on "Corruption-free India for a developed Nation," as a part of the valedictory function.

"Chetana," an annual newsletter published by the Vigilance Department of BDL, was released by the Chief Guest Bhagwat in the presence of BDL Director (Finance) N Srinivasulu, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) Dr Vennam Upender (IPoS) and senior officials of the company.

Prizes were distributed to winners of competitions organised during the week, which were aimed to sensitize employees of the company, their families and school students about vigilance.

During the week, a Vendor Meet was held which was participated by representatives from over 100 firms from various parts of the country. A Gram Sabha was organised at Yadgarpally village at Kesara Mandal, Malkajgiri – Medchal District, Telangana State, as a measure to spread awareness in Gram Panchayat on ill-effects of corruption. A walkathon was also held at Bulkapur village near Shankarpally to promote vigilance awareness among different strata of society.
