VK Singh takes charge as Director (Technical) of REC Limited

New Delhi: VK Singh has taken over charge as Director (Technical) of REC Limited with effect from July 12, 2022. Before this elevation, VK Singh had been Executive Director in REC holding the portfolio of key business areas including private sector project management, Entity Appraisal and Procurement and is also a Director on the Board of REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited.

According to an order issued on July 11, 2022, from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Singh has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation i.e. June 30, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Singh holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from IIT Roorkee and in his illustrious career spanning more than 33 years, he has demonstrated excellence while holding various positions across leading power sector PSUs namely NTPC, Power Grid and REC. In his 15 years stint with REC, he has delivered various key operations of the company involving policy formulation, project & entity appraisal, business planning, stressed assets management and MoU negotiations besides heading operations at REC's subsidiary for some time.
