ACC Appointments: Govt clears appointment of 26 bureaucrats

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), headed by Prime Minister, has given its approval for the appointments of several bureaucrats on Saturday. Here is the complete list of newly appointed bureaucrats:

Sumita Dawra (IAS) has been appointed as Special Secretary (Logistics) in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Ms Dawra is a 1991-batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh. She is presently posted as Special Secretary in the same Department.

Vibhu Nayar (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of External Affairs. Nayar is a 1990-batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre. Presently, he is posted as Executive Director in India Tade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) under the Department of Commerce.

Shantmanu (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution. Shantmanu is a 1991-batch IAS officer of Uttarakhand cadre. Presently, he is posted as Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) in the Ministry of Textiles.

Sanjay Rastogi (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers. Rastogi is a 1991-batch IAS officer of Odisha cadre. Presently, he is posted as Development Commissioner (Handlooms) in the Ministry of Textiles.

Sriram Taranikanti (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Home Affairs. Taranikanti is a 1992-batch IAS officer of Tripura cadre. Presently, he is posted as Additional Secretary in the Inter State Council Secretariat.

Khilli Ram Meena (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Rural Development. Meena is a 1993-batch IAS officer of AGMUT cadre. Presently, he is posted as Principal Secretary in the Vigilance Department, NCT of Delhi.

Rajesh Agarwal (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Commerce under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Agarwal is a 1994-batch IAS officer of Manipur. Presently, he is posted in his home cadre.

Rohit Kansal (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles. Kansal is a 1995-batch IAS officer of UT cadre. Presently, he is posted as Principal Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department, UT of J&K.

T Natarajan (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Defence Production under the Ministry of Defence. Natarajan is a 1996-batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre. Presently, he is posted as Additional Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs under the Ministry of Finance.

Peeyush Kumar (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Commerce under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Kumar is a 1997-batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre. Presently, he is posted as Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs under the Ministry of Finance.

Kamini Chauhan Ratan (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). Ratan is a 1997-batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre. He is presently posted as Joint Secretary in the Department of Higher Education.

Pramod Kumar Meherda (IAS) has been appointed Additional Secretary in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. Meherda is a 1997-batch IAS officer of Odisha cadre. He is presently posted as Managing Director in the National Food Security Mission under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.

Mahmood Ahmed (IP&TA&FS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. Ahmed is a 1993-batch IP&TA&FS (Indian Post & Telecommunication Accounts and Finance Service) officer. He is presently posted as Joint Secretary in the same Ministry.

Dipti Mohil Chawla (IDAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Defence under the Ministry of Defence. Chawla is a 1995-batch Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS) officer. He is presently posted as Joint Secretary in the same Department.

The ACC has also approved in-situ upgradation of the following officers to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India as a measure personal to them by temporarily upgrading the posts held by them:

Suman Sharma (IRS) has been appointed as Managing Director of Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI) under the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary. Sharma is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of the 1990 batch. She has been serving as MD of SECI since August 29, 2021.

Vismita Tej (IRS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Coal. Vismita is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer 1990-batch. She is presently posted as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Coal.

Sanjiv Narain Mathur (IRAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Pension & Pensioners' Welfare under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. Mathur is an IRAS officer of 1992-batch. Presently he is posted as Joint Secretary in the same Department.

Sanjeeb Kumar Mishra (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary-cum-Controller of Examination, National Recruitment Agency, Department of Personnel & Training in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.  Mishra is a 1997-batch IAS officer of Odisha cadre.

Manoj Kumar Dwivedi (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training. Dwivedi is a 1997-batch IAS officer of AGMUT cadre. Presently, he is posted as Joint Secretary in the same Department.

Ashish Vachhani (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs under the Ministry of Finance. Vachhani is a 1997-batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre. Presently, he is posted as Joint Secretary in the same Department.

Rakesh Gupta (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the President's Secretariat. Gupta is a 1997-batch IAS officer of the Haryana cadre. He is presently posted as Joint Secretary in the President's Secretariat.

Shyam Jagannathan (IAS) has been appointed as Development Commissioner of Santa Cruz Exclusive Export Processing Zone, Special Economic Zone, Mumbai under the Department of Commerce in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.

Subodh Kumar Singh (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Food & Public Distribution Department. Singh is a 1997-batch IAS officer of Chhattisgarh Cadre. Presently, he is posted as Joint Secretary in the Food & Public Distribution Department.

Rabindra Kumar Agarwal (IAS) has been appointed as Deputy Director (Administration), All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary. Agarwal is a 1997-batch IAS officer of Kerla cadre.

Sanoj Kumar Jha (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries. Jha is 1997-batch IAS officer of Sikkim cadre. Presently, he is posted as Joint Secretary in the same Ministry.

Rohit Kumar (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat. Kumar is a 1997-batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre. Presently, he is posted as Joint Secretary on the Cabinet Secretariat.

The ACC has further approved the appointment of Alka Nangia Arora (IDAS) Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Department of Agricultural Research & Education as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Department of Agricultural Research & Education by restoring the post to Additional Secretary level.
