ACC appointments: These ministries have got new Secretaries

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a bunch of Secretary-level appointments on Friday.

1. R Subrahmanyam, an IAS officer of Andra Pradesh cadre 1985-batch, Secretary of Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment.
2. Amit Khare, an IAS officer of Jharkhand cadre 1985-batch, Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Higher Education. He will also hold the additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy.
3. Arun Goel, an IAS officer of Punjab cadre 1985-batch, Secretary, Ministry of Culture has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.
4. Kshatrapati Shivaji, an IAS officer of Maharastra cadre 1986-batch, Executive Director, Asian Development Bank has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances. He will also hold the additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Pensions and Pensioners Welfare.
5. Ravi Mittal, an IAS officer of Bihar cadre 1986-batch, Special Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
6. TV Somanathan, an IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre 1987-batch, currently serving in his home cadre, has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.
7. Rajesh Bhushan, an IAS officer of Bihar cadre 1987-batch, Secretary (Coordination), Cabinet Secretariat has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Rural Development.
8. VP Joy, an IAS officer of Kerala cadre 1987-batch, Director General of Hydrocarbons, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has been appointed as Secretary (Coordination).
9. Sunil Kumar, an IAS officer of Utter Pradesh cadre 1987-batch, Special Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
10. Barun Mitra, an IAS officer of Manipur cadre 1987-batch, Special Secretary, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty, Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice.
11. Praveen Kumar, an IAS officer of Tamil Nandu cadre 1987-batch, Special Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
12. Sushil Kumar, an IAS officer of Tripura cadre 1987-batch, Additional Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research and Education and Secretary, Indian Council of Agricultural Research has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Mines.
13. Radheyshyam Julaniya, an IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh 1985-batch, Secretary, Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has given additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Youth.

ACC has also approved up-gradation of the following officers to the level of Special Secretary in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government, by temporarily upgrading the posts held by them:

1. Rameshwar Prasad Gupta, an IAS officer of Gujarat cadre 1987-batch, Additional Secretary, NITI Aayog has been appointed as Special Secretary, NITI Aayog.
2. Pradeep Kumar, an IAS officer of Kerala cadre 1987-batch, Project Director, National Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of Home Affairs appointed has been appointed as Project Director, National Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of Home Affairs
3. Tarun Kapoor, an IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre 1987-batch, Vice Chairman, Delhi Development Authority, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has been appointed as Vice-Chairman, Delhi Development Authority, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
4. Ram Mohan Mishra, an IAS officer of Assam cadre, Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has been appointed as Special Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
5. TK Manojkumar, an IAS officer of Kerala cadre 1987-batch, Additional Secretary, Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority, Department of Food and Public Distribution has been appointed as Special Secretary, Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority, Department of Food and Public Distribution.
6. Rajesh Verma, an IAS officer of Odisha cadre 1987-batch, Additional Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare has been appointed as Special Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare.
7. Rajesh Kumar Chaturvedi, an IAS officer of Madhya Prades cadre 1987-batch, Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Culture has been appointed as Special Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Culture.
8. Ajay Tirkey, an IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre 1987-batch, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development has been appointed as Special Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development.
9. Sanjay Kumar Mishra, an IRS officer Income Tax cadre 1984-batch, Director, Enforcement Directorate, Department of Revenue as Director, Enforcement Directorate, Department of Revenue in the rank and pay of Secretary.
10. Prem Kumar Kataria, an IA&AS officer 1985-batch, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles has been appointed as Special Secretary, Ministry of Textiles.
