New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a total of seven appointments to the Foreign/Captive posts under the Department of Economic Affairs and Department of Commerce for a period of three years from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until the further orders, whichever is earlier. Here is the full list:

The appointment of Ravi Kota, a 1993-batch IAS officer of Assam cadre, has been cleared for the post of Minister (Economic) (Joint Secretary level) in the Embassy of India, Washington DC (USA) under the Department of Economic Affairs.

The appointment of Rajeev Topno, a 1996-batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, has been cleared for the post of Senior Advisor (Joint Secretary level) to the Executive Director of World Bank, Washington DC (USA) under the Department of Economic Affairs.

The appointment of Lekhan Thakkar, a Central Secretariat Service (CSS) officer, has been cleared for the post of Counsellor (Economic) (Director level) in Embassy of India, Beijing (China), under the Department of Economic Affairs.

The appointment of H Atheli, an Indian Civil Accounts Service (ICAS) officer of 2000-batch, has been cleared for the post of Advisor (Director level) to Executive Director of Asian Development Bank, Manila, the Philippines under the Department of Economic Affairs.

The appointment of Brajendera Navnit, 1999-batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre, has been cleared for the post of Ambassador & PRI (Joint Secretary level) to World Trade Organization (WTO), Permanent Mission of India (PMI) to WTO, Geneva, Switzerland under the Department of Commerce.

The appointment of Anwar Hussain Shaik, a 2000-batch Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer, has been cleared for the post of Counsellor (Director level), PMI to WTO, Geneva, Switzerland under the Department of Commerce.

The appointment of N Ashok Kumar, a 2004-batch IAS officer of Manipur cadre, has been cleared for the post of Advisor (Industry & Engineering) (Director level), Embassy of India, Brussels, Belgium under the Department of Commerce.
