ACC appoints Jagannath Srinivasan (IPoS) as OSD in President's Secretariat

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Jagannath Srinivasan (IPoS) as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in President's Secretariat. Srinivasan is an Indian Postal Service (IPoS) officer of 2002-batch. He is currently serving as Director in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT). 

Srinivasan’s profile

Srinivasan is an Art graduate (BA) from Deshbandhu College of Delhi University. He has also done MBA in Marketing Management from Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan, Delhi. He started his career with the Department of Post in Delhi Division as Senior Superintendent, Postal, followed by Assistant Director-General, Director. Prior to joining as Director in DoPT, he was posted as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions.

The President’s Secretariat

The President of India is the Head of the state and exercises powers as defined in the Constitution of India. The President’s Secretariat provides secretarial assistance to the President in discharging constitutional, ceremonial and other state responsibilities. It is headed by the Secretary to the President who is assisted by a team of officers.
