New Delhi: The central government has approved the appointment of Amit Meena (IAS) for the post of Deputy Secretary in the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Meena has been appointed to the post under the central staffing scheme for a  period of four years with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. "He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Department of Revenue," the order further read.

Amit Meena is a 2011-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Kerala cadre. He is currently posted as District Collector of Malappuram, Kerala.
