ACC Appointments: Govt promotes 5 IPS officers as Joint Directors of CBI

The ACC has approved the proposal of DoPT for the appointment of these five IPS officers as Joint Directors in CBI

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) for appointment of these five IPS officers as Joint Directors in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday. Here is the full list of newly appointed officers:

S Veeresh Prabhu (IPS) has been appointed as Joint Director in Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post for an overall tenure of five years up-to October 13, 2027 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Prabhu is a 2005 batch IPS officer of Maharashtra cadre. Presently, he is working as DIG in CBI.

Rajiv Ranjan (IPS) has been appointed as Joint Director in CBI with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post for an overall tenure of five years up-to May 30, 2026 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Ranjan is a 2005 batch IPS officer. Presently he is working as DIG in CBI.

Sumedha Dwevedi (IPS) has been appointed as Joint Director in CBI with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post for an overall tenure of five years upto February 7, 2029 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Dwevedi is a 2005 batch IPS officer of Himachal Pradesh. Presently, he is working as DIG in CBI.

Vijayendra Bidari (IPS) has been appointed as Joint Director in CBI with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post for an overall tenure of seven years upto July 18, 2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Bidari is a 2005 batch IPS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre. Presently, he is working as DIG in CBI.

Sharada Raut (IPS) has been appointed as Joint Director in CBI with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post for an overall tenure of seven years upto July 25, 2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Raut is a 2005 batch IPS officer of Maharashtra cadre. Presently, he is working as DIG in CBI.
