ACC appoints Dipak Kumar Gupta (IRS) as Secretary of LPAI

Dipak Kumar Gupta (IRS), who is currently serving as Commissioner in the Customs Preventive Commissionerate of Amritsar, has been appointed as Secretary of the Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI)

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal for appointment of Dipak Kumar Gupta (IRS) to the post of Secretary (Joint Secretary Level) in the Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI). According to an order issued on Tuesday, Gupta has been appointed on the post on deputation basis, for a period of three years with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Currently, he is serving as Commissioner in the Customs Preventive Commissionerate of Amritsar. Gupta is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of 1995-batch.

Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI)

The Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI) is a statutory body, which was created through the Land Ports Authority of India Act-2010, working under the Ministry of Home Affairs. LPAI is responsible for creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing border infrastructure in India. LPAI manages several integrated check posts (ICPs) all across borders of India.
