ACC approves appointment of 20 officers at Joint Secretary level

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointments of 20 officers at the Joint Secretary & and equivalent level in the various Department and Ministries

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the appointments of as many as  20 officers at Joint Secretary & and equivalent level in the various Department and Ministries. Here is the full list:-

D Senthil Pandiyan (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Ayush. He has been appointed to the post for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. With this assignment, Pandiyan will replace Roshan Jaggi (IFoS). Pandiyan is a 2002-batch IAS officer of the Uttarakhand cadre.

Nirupama Kotru (IRS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Coal. She has been appointed to the post for an overall tenure of five years, with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, up to May 15, 2023, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Kotru is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of the 1992-batch. With her new assignment, Kotru will replace Reena Sinha Puri (IRS).

Bhaskar Verma (ICAS) has been appointed as Member Secretary of National Monuments Authority (NMA) under the Ministry of Culture. He has been appointed to the post for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Verma is an Indian Civil Accounts Service (ICAS) officer of the 1988-batch. With his new assignment, He will replace Navneet Soni (IRS).

Lily Pandeya (IRPS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Culture. She has been appointed to the post for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Pandeya is an Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS) officer of the 1998-batch. With her new assignment, she will replace Padma L Sahu (ICAS).

Mayank Tewari (IRSME) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence under the Ministry of Defence. He has been appointed to the post for the tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Tewari is an Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineering (IRSME) officer of the 1993-batch. With his new assignment, Tewari will replace Richa Misra (IDAS).

Nazli Jafri Shayin (IA&AS) has been appointed as Additional Financial Advisor & Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Defence (Finance). She has been appointed to the post from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure up to December 29, 2021, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Shayin is an Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS) officer of the 1999-batch. With her new assignment, she will replace Ashwini Kumar (IRS).

Indira Murthy (CSS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Earth Sciences. She has been appointed to the post from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure up to the date of her superannuation i.e. April 30, 2023, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. She is a Central Secretariat Service (CSS) officer. With her new assignment, Murthy will replace Vipin Chandra (IRS).

Manisha Sinha (IPoS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs. She has been appointed to the post for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Manisha is an Indian Postal Service (IPoS) officer of the 1992-batch. With her new assignment, Manisha will replace Prashant Goyal (IAS).

Ashish Vachhani (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs under the Ministry of Finance. He has been appointed to the post for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Vachhani is a 1994-batch IAS officer of the Karnataka cadre. With his new assignment, Vachhani will replace Arvind Shrivastava (IAS).

Sandhya Bhullar (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs under the Ministry of Finance. She has been appointed to the post for an overall tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, up to March 31, 2024. Bhullar is a 2003-batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre. With her new assignment, Bhullar will replace Sameer Kumar Khare (IAS).

Bhuvnesh Kumar (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. He has been appointed to the post for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Kumar is a 1995-batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre. With his new assignment, Kumar will replace Sanjay Goel (IRTS).

Patibandla Ashok Babu (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Health & Family Welfare under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. He has been appointed to the post for an overall tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post up to August 25, 2024. Babu is a 1993-batch IAS officer of Assam cadre. With his new assignment, Babu will replace Manohar Agnani (IAS).

Jeetendra Singh (IRSEE) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Heavy Industry under the Ministry of Heavy Industry & Public Enterprises. He has been appointed to the post for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Singh is an Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE) service officer of the 1993-batch. With his new assignment, Singh will replace Amit Vardhan (IRTS).

Sumant Singh (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Home Affairs under the Ministry of Home Affairs. He has been appointed to the post for an overall tenure of five years, with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, up to December 3, 2024, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Singh is a 2003-batch IAS officer of Manipur cadre. With his new assignment, Singh will replace Krishna Bahadur Singh (IFoS).

He has been appointed to the post for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Shankar is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of the 1993-batch. With his new assignment, Shankar will replace Neerja Sekhar (IAS).

Manoj Kumar (IRS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Investment & Public Asset Management under the Ministry of Finance. He has been appointed to the post for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Kumar is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of the 1994-batch. With his new assignment, Kumar will replace Nukala Venudhar Reddy (IIS).

Veena Tamta Bhatia (IOFS) has been appointed as Additional Central Provident Fund Commissioner (HQ) in the EPFO under the Ministry of Labour & Employment. She has been appointed to the post from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure up to the date of her superannuation i.e. November 30, 2023, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. She is an Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS) service officer of the 1988-batch. With her new assignment, Bhatia will replace Rekha Yadav (IRPS).

Sonmoni Borah (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Land Resources under the Ministry of Rural Development. He has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Borah is a 1999-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre. With his new assignment, Borah will replace Hukum Singh Meena (IAS).

Som Dutt Sharma (CSS) has been appointed as Director of the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM) under the Department of Personnel & Training. He has been appointed to the post for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Sharma is a Central Secretariat Service (CSS) officer. With his new assignment, Sharma will replace Sunita H Khurana (CSS).

Sanjeeb Kumar Mishra (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary-cum-Controller of Examination of National Recruitment Agency (NRA) under the Department of Personnel & Training. He has been appointed to the post for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier against a newly created post.
