New Delhi: The Government of India has appointed Aisha Khan (IOFS) as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Financial Services (DFS) under the Ministry of Finance.
Khan is an Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS) service officer of 2014-batch. Currently, she is serving as Joint Director in the Department of Defence Production under the Ministry of Defence.
According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on August 6, Khan has been appointed to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme. Her appointment is for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier. She was recommended for the Central deputation by the Department of Defence Production.
Khan is a IOFS officer with a strong academic background in commerce, international relations, and public policy. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi, and a Master’s degree in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). She also qualified the UGC-NET in International Relations in 2014.
Further enhancing her policy credentials, she recently completed the Advanced Management Programme in Public Policy (AMP-PP) from the Indian School of Business (ISB) in 2024. With this diverse academic and professional foundation, Khan brings a rich blend of administrative insight and policy understanding to her new role in the Department of Financial Services.
