New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Akash Jain, an Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) officer of the 2013 batch, as Deputy Secretary in the National Recruitment Agency (NRA), Headquarters, Delhi.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Jain, who was recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Revenue, has been appointed under the Central Staffing Scheme for a tenure of four years from the date he assumes charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

He has been directed to be relieved of his current duties immediately to take up the new assignment at the NRA, which functions under the Department of Personnel & Training.

The National Recruitment Agency (NRA) is a key initiative of the Government of India aimed at streamlining recruitment processes by conducting the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for various non-gazetted posts across central government agencies.
